World's fastest sports car appears in Chengdu

Maybe most sports cars are not unique. However, have you seen the fastest sports car in the world? It's called the Koenigsegg CCR and its price in the Chinese market is 16.8 million yuan.

It has attracted numerous car enthusiasts since it arrived in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province in July 2010.

The highest speed the Koenigsegg CCR can reach is 395 kilometers per hour, faster than China's Railway High-speed train, also called the 'Hexie' bullet train.

The market price of Koenigsegg CCR is as high as 16.8 million yuan, and only 50 Koenigsegg CCRs are produced each year. The car entered into the Chinese market in 2009, said Zhou Ming, a manger of customer service department responsible for Koenigsegg's sale.

He disclosed that a customer placed an order to purchase a Koenigsegg CCR early this year, but the car has not been delivered. Hence, this Koenigsegg CCR in his store is the only one in China.

If a buyer wants to have a test drive, he must pay 2 million yuan as a deposit to prove he has the ability to buy it.
