Songlin Peach Forest in Guanghan, Sichuan province

Songlin, 18km away from Guanghan City of Sichuan province, is well known as 'the Huaguoshan Mountain in Sichuan', which means a place rich in flowers and fruits, and has been vividly depicted in the story of 'Journey to the West'. Songlin peach flower is a major and famous landscape in Guanghan City. During the warmth of spring every year, the peach flowers are all in full bloom, which attracts a great deal of tourists from home and abroad to be there.

Songlin peach flower has a long history, the well-known painters, Zhangda Qian and Fengguan Fu made a special trip to Songlin on 19th, February of Lunar Year in 1944. After seeing the breathtaking scenery, Zhangda Qian made a high praise to the Songlin, and described it as the sea of the peach flowers.

In recent years, peach trees in Songlin have growed as mushrooms. In addition, visitors can also enjoy the plum flowers, pear flowers,Jasmine, gorgeous apple flowers, etc. in different seasons. Since 1999, songlin peach blossom festival has been held in March to attract more and more tourists to visit the wonderland, surrounded by fluttering butterflies.
